Support ABADA DC

Did you know there are many easy ways to support ABADA DC?

It’s said it takes a village! We believe in that. May it be to raise wonderful kids, overcome a challenge or build a positive community, when we do it together it is easier, we go further and we have fun along the way, supporting those we care about and having their support as well.

How can you help us in an easy way? Here are some options for you.

*Just a little note: The secret is consistency. As in most things worth doing in life, the more you do, the better you get at it and the results improve as well.

1. Spread the word

Word of mouth has always been the best advertisement we get!
Tell your friends about ABADA DC, and that we are more than just a capoeira school. ABADA DC is a non-profit organization that is active in the community throughout the DMV. Outside of teaching capoeira, we spread the knowledge of the Brazilian Culture and history to build a healthy and more closely connected community, welcoming people of all ages, religions, races, gender and creeds. ABADA DC also promotes regular campaigns such as blood drives, food drives, and winter clothing drives among others to help those in need in our community.

5. Shop on iGive

Every time you shop at any of the 1,800+ online stores in the iGive network, a portion of the money you spend benefits Abada-Capoeira DC Brazilian Arts Center. It’s a free service, and you’ll never pay more when you reach a store through iGive. In fact, smart shoppers will enjoy iGive‘s repository of coupons, free shipping deals, and sales. To get started, just create your free iGive account.

6. Join the Roundup-app program

We’ve partnered with a program called Roundup App that allows you to “round up” the change from our debit or credit card purchases and donate it to ACDC monthly.
For example, if you were to spend $5.75 at a store, it would be rounded to $6.00 and the $0.25 difference would be donated to ACDC. They also offer the option to set a monthly giving cap to a limit that you are comfortable with. At the end of the month it does not amount to much for one person but if we join and spread the word, it can add up.
